Blender magazine lists 50 Worst Songs Ever. "We Built This City" is #1.

Good article today in Salon.com for those of you who subscribe. It's an interview with Neal Stephenson, author of a trilogy I'm currently reading. In the interview, he presents a pet theory of his that I found interesting: "Every culture can be kind of defined by what they drink in order to avoid dying of diarrhea. In China it's tea. In Africa it's milk or animal blood. In Europe it was wine and beer."
Another thing he says in this interview that I liked a whole lot is his definition of what science fiction literature is "fiction that's not considered good unless it has interesting ideas in it."

Donnie Darko to be rereleased. That's one good movie already.
